There is no denying that Season 4 of Stranger Things had a number of Easter eggs and allusions, as is customary for Netflix shows. The Duffer brothers will be working with Steven Spielberg and Stephen King on their upcoming big project, but Volume 2 really contained a wonderful dedication to them!

Even though Eleven stopped Vecna from killing Max in the season four finale of Stranger Things, the harm had already been done. Max’s eyes were practically pulled into her skull and her limbs were almost damaged, yet she managed to live. Unsurprisingly, Lucas subsequently entertained Max when she was in a hospital coma.
Lucas decided to read Max a book, and not just any book, in order to establish a connection. Lucas is reading Stephen King and Peter Straub’s The Talisman, which is about a youngster who is looking for a potent stone (the Talisman) to cure his mother of cancer. The Duffer brothers are now engaged in the adaptation of the book, in case you didn’t already know.

It was reported in March that Matt and Ross Duffer will serve as executive producers on the television TV adaptation of the 1984 novel. The Duffers will co-executive produce the project alongside writer Curtis Gwinn, who previously worked on Stranger Things. The production will be done in collaboration with Netflix by Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Television and Paramount Television Studios.

The Duffer brothers’ new firm Upside Down Pictures will be working on a number of significant projects, including The Talisman. The studio will also create a fresh live-action version of Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata’s manga Death Note. Only The Talisman, though, received a fantastic shoutout in Stranger Things Season 4 Volume 2.
Netflix now offers streaming access to Stranger Things Season4’s nine episodes.
