Stranger Things returns for Season 4 after a three-year hiatus, promising a return to the spring of 1986, a period of VHS rentals, colorful plaid, and an infinite supply of bangs-centric haircuts. Photographer Sham Scott took various behind-the-scenes moments of the actors throughout filming, utilizing both medium and large sizes, in line with the old atmosphere, and we’re revealing those nostalgic pictures here.
Season 4 picks up six months after the final battle at Starcourt Mall in Season 3, with the Demogorgon-fighting crew dispersed over the world. Will (Noah Schnapp), Jonathan (Charlie Heaton), Joyce (Winona Ryder), and Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) have settled down in California, while Hopper (David Harbour) is being held captive in a Russian gulag. Meanwhile, Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo), and Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin) are all students at Hawkins High School, where they must manage courses, the D&D club, after-school activities, and, of course, the latest horrific creature to emerge from the Upside Down, Vecna.
