Stranger Things Cast Is Passed Over For Emmy Nominations In 2022

To the disappointment of many fans of the adored Netflix series, the complete cast of Stranger Things has been rejected without a single acting award despite having thirteen nominations for the entire season, according to the 2022 Emmy Award Nominations, which have now revealed the full list.

Stranger Things received thirteen Emmy Award nominations, which is a difficult feat considering the show only received those for Season 4. However, many fans of the series are still in shock that none of the cast members—including Millie Bobby Brown and Sadie Sink—received any nominations despite their outstanding performances in the fourth season.

Sadie Sink received high accolades for her work in Stranger Things Season 4 Volume 1 Episode 4, “Dear Billy,” but it wasn’t enough to secure her an Emmy nomination this year, nor did Millie Bobby Brown, who has consistently delivered strong performances throughout the series. Neither Winona Ryder nor David Harbour received any nominations for supporting parts.

The fact that only Stranger Things Season 4 Volume 1 made it by the May 31st deadline should be taken into account. The second volume of Stranger Things Season 4 is now eligible for the Emmy Awards the following year, and it was far more intense than the first half of the season. The final two episodes may have been nominated if the program had been released all at once.

Sadie Sink, Millie Bobby Brown, and the rest of the Stranger Things ensemble have nonetheless received praise for producing one of the greatest seasons the program has ever had.

The first volume of Stranger Things Season 4 is still up for thirteen Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Drama Series, Casting for a Drama Series, Production Design for a Narrative Period or Fantasy Program, and Single-Camera Picture Editing for a Drama Series.

Other Emmy nominations include Stunt Coordination for a Drama Series or Limited or Anthology Series or Movie, Stunt Performance; Sound Mixing for a Comedy or Drama Series;  Sound Editing for a Comedy or Drama Series; Music Supervision; Period and/or Character Hairstyling; Prosthetic Makeup; Period and/or Character Makeup; and Special Visual Effects in a Season or a Movie.

Do you anticipate seeing any of the cast members in the nominations for the upcoming Emmy Awards?

Volumes 1 and 2 of Stranger Things Season 4 are currently available on Netflix.
