Walt Disney Animation Studios has disclosed the Disney+ release date for the impending streaming premiere of its most recent fantasy adventure movie, which comes less than a month after Strange World‘s theatrical launch. On December 23, the Jake Gyllenhaal-starring movie will be streamable.
Only $53 million has been made worldwide thus far by Strange World. The PG-rated movie earned favorable reviews from reviewers despite its dismal box office results.
A homage to pulp magazines, which were popular fiction publications from the early half of the 20th century produced on low-cost wood pulp paper, is how the original action-adventure movie is referred to. Dennis Quaid, Gabrielle Union, Lucy Liu, Jaboukie Young-White, Jake Gyllenhaal, and others provide their voices to the movie.
Don Hall (Big Hero 6) and Qui Nguyen, who also worked together on Raya and the Last Dragon last year, are co-directing Strange World. Roy Conli (Tangled) is in charge of producing it.
