Season 2 of Space Force has officially released its trailer. Steve Carell stars in the series telling the story of the first team to construct the United States Armed Forces’ sixth branch, called Space Force. In addition to Steve, John Malkovich, Ben Schwartz, Tawny Newsome, Diana Silvers, Jimmy O. Yang, and Don Lake also gathered in the show.
Space Force season 1 arrived at mediocre reviews, with several criticizing it for missing true chuckles and squandering the incredible talent engaged. In spite of the lukewarm reception, Space Force, co-created by Carell and Greg Daniels, who had great achievement on their last effort jointly, The Office, was restarted for the next season. The following chapter, though, brought in Parks and Recreation’s Norm Hiscock as co-showrunner and Ken Kwapis directing to boost the components promising higher quality for Season 2.
Publishing the trailer for Season 2 of Space Force, the filmmakers this time want to leave the spotlight to the ensemble cast who are still trying to make sense of their mission to build a brand new branch. Tricks, drunkenness, injunctions, sexual anxiety, drug usage, and general craziness are all on show in the new teaser, which features several guest actors as well as the returning ensemble. Patton Oswalt appears as a space astronaut, while Tim Meadows stars as a Space Force officer who offers Carell and his team five months to show their value. Watch the trailer after the jump:
Following his breakout performance in The Office, Carell has worked on a variety of projects, alternating between major films and television shows. Until quitting the show, he has appeared in films such as The Way Way Back, The Big Short, and Foxcatcher, for which he received an Academy Award nomination. He also voiced the character Gru in the cartoon flicks Despicable Me and Minions, as well as Mitch Kessler in The Morning Show on Apple TV+, alongside Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon.
Although the first series of Space Force wasn’t as well-received as many of us have hoped, it appears that the show’s creators have shifted their attention to the more effective components while ignoring the aspects that didn’t work well. Carell remains a tremendous comedic attraction, particularly when portraying a dumb elected official, and the rest of the group is a comedic show’s ideal ensemble. It’s unknown if the life lessons have paid off, but fans will be able to discover their own selves when Space Force season 2 premieres on February 18, 2022.
