We’re all excited for the debut of Andor, and Star Wars is the perfect way to be ready for the new Disney+ series. Fans will be able to revisit the valiant soldiers who lost their lives to deliver the Death Star plans when Rogue One: A Star Wars Story returns to IMAX theaters later this month.
In advance of the release of Andor, Fandango announced that Rogue One: A Star Wars Story would be returning to IMAX cinemas later this month. Additionally, viewers will get to see the prologue in a unique way.
The movie will be screened on Friday, August 26, 2022, and will be released in a number of cinemas around the nation. See the awesome new IMAX poster down below.

For those who want to experience the action of Rogue One, this is fantastic news. The 2016 movie follows Jyn Erso, who was a research scientist’s daughter who worked on the Galactic Empire’s ultimate weapon. Jyn guides a team of rebels on a mission to recover the Death Star schematics and deliver them to the Rebel Alliance together with the help of the rebel leader Cassian Andor.
Fans were first exposed to the unheralded and first unnamed squad of rebels in Rogue One, who gave their lives to secure the Rebel Alliance’s first significant triumph against the Empire and were only passingly alluded to in the opening crawl of Star Wars: A New Hope.
As a prequel to Rogue One, Andor will follow Cassian Andor before the events of the movie. As Cassian, Genevieve O’Reilly will reprise her role as Senator Mon Mothma, while Forest Whitaker will reprise his role as Saw Gerrera in the series.
The three-episode Andor series will debut on Disney+ on September 21, 2022.
