With only two weeks until the debut of Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, it appears that everyone is eager for news regarding the hotel’s immersive experience. The wait appears to be ended, as Disney tries again with a new promotional film describing the mythical ship’s history, as well as sneak glances at the hotel’s interior, including the dining area, lobby, and rooms.
In November, Disney published its first promotional film for the hotel, which featured Sean Giambrone of The Goldbergs and Ann Morrow Johnson, Executive Producer of Imagineering, taking a quick tour around the hotel’s halls and a look at the hotel’s entertainment possibilities. The lack of theming and significant Star Wars characters in the film drew quick criticism from fans. The film was promptly taken down by Disney, but copies can still be obtained on the internet. Fans’ pleas were heard, as this new video includes real-time views of rooms, training exercises, and more detailed information regarding character appearances.
A chat between Walt Disney Imagineer Travis Finstein and Matt Martin, a creative executive for Lucasfilm Franchise Content & Strategy, is intercut with clips from the resort. The Halcyon Starcruiser and its link to the movie, as well as the following Star Wars park in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, are discussed by the two. “When passengers come to Starcruiser today, they’re gonna discover a Halcyon that has recently been restored to its former glory,” according to Finstein. The events of the visitors’ stay will take place between The Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker, confirmed by Martin. He then goes on to hint the appearances of Kylo Ren and Rey.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens is a sci-fi film The Starcruiser is an interactive hotel experience that transfers visitors to another galaxy. Guests will participate in lightsaber and bridge training, enjoy lounge performances by alien singers, and explore Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge (also known as Batuu) in customized ‘launch pods’ throughout their stay (or, as people on earth call them: busses). Guests are invited to engage with the ship’s crew and personalities, as well as unearth rebel secrets. “You get to select your own journey as a passenger.” Martin opined, “Will you join the Resistance? Will you join the First Order? Are you a Scoundrel? Everything you could possibly want.”
Disney has created a comic series based on the Halcyon’s centuries-old history, including its initial journey to Batuu and interactions with various significant characters in the saga, in advance of its March 1 debut. Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, according to Imagineers, is the next level in immersive experiences for Walt Disney World guests and a must-see for Star Wars enthusiasts of all ages.
