Five years before the events of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Star Wars: Andor will follow Cassian Andor, a former burglar who turned Rebel snoop. The series just unveiled a new poster for the episode delving further into the rebellion’s origins before it debuted on Disney Plus.
In a revolutionary story from a galaxy far, far away, Cassian Andor joins the Rebellion founded to challenge the Galactic Empire. From a thief to a hero who sacrifices himself for the sake of many, Cassian is about to demonstrate his ability to do much more for a greater cause.
It is anticipated that Star Wars: Andor, which takes place in the Star Wars universe during the year 5 BBY, would offer a fresh look at the Rebellion events, one of the pivotal moments that altered the course of the whole galaxy.
Diego Luna, who plays Cassian Andor in Star Wars: Andor, is joined by Genevieve O’Reily as Mon Mothma, Denise Gough as Dedra Meero, Stellan Skarsgård as Luthen Rael, Adria Arjona as Bix Caleen, Fiona Shaw as Maarva, and Kyle Soller as Syrill in the ensemble cast.
Forest Whitaker, who played Saw Gerrera in the Clone Wars, is also making a comeback. Anton Lesser, David Hayman, Robert Emms, Kathryn Hunter, Clemens Schick, Alex Ferns, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach are additional cast members.
On September 21, 2022, the first three episodes of Star Wars: Andor will be broadcast on Disney Plus. On Disney+ Day, September 8th, further updates to the series are expected.
