Miles Morales won’t be the only one making his way back to the Spider-Verse.

Spider-Man has released a brand-new picture, highlighting a high-flying fight between The Spot and Miles in the forthcoming Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse sequel, which is set to come out next year. As they plummet towards the city’s skyline, Miles tries to land a kick, but his foot passes through one of the Spot’s spots and emerges in front of Gwen Stacy’s face!
The Spot, whose true name is Dr. Jonathan Ohnn, is a supervillain with the ability to open space- and dimension-spanning portals.
In the comics, The Spot was one of Peter Parker’s foes, but this would indicate that the film reimagines the legendary villain as a foe of Peter’s Spider-Man successor. It is unclear if the Spot will originate from Miles’ world or somewhere else in the multiverse.
This space-warping antagonist, portrayed by Jason Schwartzman, is touted as Miles’ most formidable adversary to date.
The Spot will make his Spider-Verse debut in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, which will be released exclusively in cinemas on June 2, 2023.
