Sonic the Hedgehog 2 has a unique 4DX poster from CJ 4DPLEX.
This new poster has Sonic sprinting right towards the spectator, with the official logo of the film underneath him. The Sonic sequel will be released in cinemas using ScreenX and 4DX formats, the same as the previous film. The ScreenX format, created by CJ 4DPLEX, is meant to contain the audience’s peripheral vision, with select sequences stretching to the theater’s left and right walls. 4DX, on the other hand, uses motion, vibration, water, wind, fragrances, and other elements to create a multisensory experience that allows viewers to feel the action they are viewing.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 from Paramount Pictures will continue the events of the 2020 film and will introduce both Knuckles and Tails, the latter of whom only appeared in the first film during a post-credits sequence. For the sequel, Ben Schwartz will return as Sonic, with James Marsden as Sonic’s human companion Tom Wachowski and Jim Carrey as the nefarious Doctor Robotnik. Idris Elba as Knuckles and Colleen O’Shaughnessey as Tails, who has voiced the role since the 2014 series Sonic Boom, will also appear in the film. A third Sonic film, as well as a Paramount+ spinoff series starring Knuckles, have already been approved.
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 will have Sonic attempting to stop both Dr. Robotnik and Knuckles in their pursuit for the Chaos Emerald, which has the ability to “both construct and destroy civilizations,” according to the official description. Several allusions to SEGA’s video games have been teased in advance posters and excerpts from the film, including the Chaos Emeralds, which initially debuted in the 1991 Sonic the Hedgehog game and have since been a fixture of the franchise.
On April 8, 2022, Sonic the Hedgehog 2 will be released in cinemas.
