As She-Hulk: Attorney At Law approaches its debut date, Marvel Studios is building anticipation among fans for the forthcoming legal comedy series on Disney Plus with a new ad featuring recognizable characters from comic books such as Porcupine and who appears to be Jack Hart.
Marvel Studios has published a new commercial for She-Hulk: Attorney At Law dubbed Date, which centers on Jennifer Walters’ dating life and the support group hosted by Emil Blonsky a.k.a. Abomination, in which important characters appear.
Porcupine is shown in the group, as is Jack Hart, a.k.a. Jack of Hearts, as well as Jennifer Walters, Emil Blonsky, and other attendees.
Porcupine first appeared in Stan Lee, Ernest Hart, and Don Heck’s Tales to Astonish #48 in 1963. Porcupine was initially worn by Alexander Gentry, but in the She-Hulk: Attorney At Law trailer, it seems to be Roger Gocking’s Porcupine.
Porcupine, played by Roger Gocking, first debuted in Daughters of the Dragon #3 in 2006, as the babysitter for Spider-Woman Jessica Drew’s kid, Gerry Drew. Gocking was also a member of the Thunderbolts, and if we’re lucky, we’ll see him in the future film as well.
While Jack Hart, a.k.a. Jack of Hearts, was not specifically mentioned in the video, a figure in the trailer has a strong likeness to him, and he is intimately linked to the character of She-Hulk as her ex-boyfriend. They did date in the comics.
Jack of Hearts originally debuted in 1976 in Deadly Hands of Kung Fu #22 as a Contraxian/human hybrid that mutated via Zero Fluid. He possesses energy manipulation abilities and has even battled with the Avengers.
She-Hulk: Attorney At Law is a forthcoming Marvel series on Disney Plus that will premiere on August 18, 2022, and will follow the narrative of Bruce Banner’s cousin, Jennifer Walters, as she attempts to combine her lives as a lawyer and as a hero.
