What will Shazam do next, though?

An online deleted scene from Shazam! Fury of the Gods has connections to the Justice League movie from last year. In the scene, Asher Angel and Jack Dylan Grazer’s characters Billy Batson and Freddy Freeman talk about how Batman, Gotham City’s only superhero, protects the city. In addition, Freddy brings up the Justice League events, referring to how the group came together to combat actual dangers like “giant portals in the sky, weird insect-like drone armies, and irate aliens.”
It should be noted that James Gunn and Peter Safran are presently working on a soft reboot of the DC Universe; hence, it is unknown whether Shazam will appear in upcoming movies. The Justice League allusions might have been removed because they no longer made sense in the new universe that Gunn and Safran are establishing.
The four DC Universe films, including Shazam! Fury of the Gods, The Flash, Blue Beetle, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, are all slated to enter theaters this year. All four are presently at varying levels of post-production at Warner Bros. Discovery. Will those cinematic characters emerge in the next DC Universe? Only the recently appointed heads of DC Studios, James Gunn and Peter Safran Safran, are aware.
Shazam! Fury of the God was directed by David F. Sandberg., based on a screenplay by Chris Morgan and Henry Gayden.
Zachary Levi, Asher Angel, Jack Dylan Grazer, Adam Brody, Ross Butler, Meagan Good, D.J. Cotrona, Grace Caroline Currey, Faithe Herman, Ian Chen, Jovan Armand, Marta Millans, Cooper Andrews, Djimon Hounsou, Rachel Zegler, Lucy Liu, and Helen Mirren are among the cast members.
