Is the Shazam! series having problems?

Shazam! Fury of the Gods had a poor $65.5 million global debut, falling short of projections. It is reported that the most recent DC Universe film from Warner Bros. only managed to make $30.5 million from 4,071 cinemas, despite debuting at number one in North America.
Shazam! Fury of the Gods was expected to bring in between $35 million and $40 million from cinemas in North America alone, according to box office experts. Fury of the Gods, however, fell short of these hopes, causing uncertainty about the franchise’s future in the wake of Warner Bros. Discovery’s DC Universe reorganization.
Shazam! Fury of the Gods’ launch on a global scale was likewise unimpressive, with only $35 million being gathered across 77 markets. This sum is considerably less than the $158.6 million that the first Shazam! movie brought in during its global release in 2019.
The four DC Universe films, including Shazam! Fury of the Gods, The Flash, Blue Beetle, and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, are all slated to enter theaters this year. All four are presently at varying levels of post-production at Warner Bros. Discovery. Will those cinematic characters emerge in the next DC Universe? Only the recently appointed heads of DC Studios, James Gunn and Peter Safran, are aware.
Shazam! Fury of the God was directed by David F. Sandberg., based on a screenplay by Chris Morgan and Henry Gayden.
Zachary Levi, Asher Angel, Jack Dylan Grazer, Adam Brody, Ross Butler, Meagan Good, D.J. Cotrona, Grace Caroline Currey, Faithe Herman, Ian Chen, Jovan Armand, Marta Millans, Cooper Andrews, Djimon Hounsou, Rachel Zegler, Lucy Liu, and Helen Mirren are among the cast members.
