It’s been three years since the previous chapter of the series was released, and now it’s finally here. Stranger Things Season 4 Vol. 1 was released in its entirety on Netflix, with only the last two episodes of Volume 2 remaining. Is it worth viewing, or is it a waste of time?

Warning! There are spoilers in this article for Stranger Things Season 4 Volume 1! You should read at your own risk!

Stranger Things Season 4 Vol. 1 has a lot of stories to tell, but despite the series’ length, the program manages to make it all work. Each episode is tied to the next, and although being long, each run is so jam-packed that you won’t notice the passage of time.

It has the sense of an anthology, with each plot taking a distinct course until coming together in the conclusion. Eleven‘s discovery of her powers, the disaster with Vecna and the search for Eddie at Hawkins, the mission to save Eleven, and Hopper‘s escape are the four storylines that make up the comparison.

However, with so much story to tell, some characters appear to have been left out of the picture. Will, for example, has been an important character from the beginning yet has been mostly ignored throughout the series. Given the large number of people in the show, as well as the fresh arrivals, the series can only focus on too little

There was also a significant plot hole in the story. Eleven couldn’t answer yes or no in the first season when the Hawkins group met her, but she spoke fluently in Stranger Things Season 4 Vol. 1 while under the Nina Project at the Hawkins National Laboratory. It would be good if the program could resolve it in Volume 2.

The inclusion of Vecna as a villain works well for the show, and the major reveal of his actual identity at the conclusion was a complete bombshell that made your popcorn fall off. Not to mention, Jamie Campbell Bower performed an outstanding job and showed a thorough understanding of the task.

Millie Bobby Brown nailed it, again and again, encapsulating Eleven‘s challenges as a student in California and as someone who has lost her talents and is striving to reclaim them. Another highlight is Sadie Sink, who demonstrated her acting abilities in the ‘Dear Billy‘ episode, for which she will undoubtedly receive accolades.

Stranger Things Season 4 Vol. 1‘s aesthetic, on the other hand, distinguishes it from the previous chapters of the series. The season’s horror movie vibes were a welcome change, and the show’s creators pulled it well by including a number of disturbing themes such as Victor Creel‘s mansion, a spooky Russian jail, and Eleven revisiting her memories of the Hawkins National Laboratory.

The choice of locations for the show’s filming paid off handsomely in terms of establishing the series’ tone. It’s a fantastic fit for the story the filmmakers want to tell. It was made much better by the visual effects. The show was also notable for its usage of 80s music. Stranger Things Season 4 Vol. 1 has sent Kate Bush’s Running Up The Hill back to the top of the charts. Overall, the show’s musical score is flawless. It will undoubtedly transport you back to the 1980s. Oh, and the costume crew did a fantastic job, with each character’s attire being period-appropriate.

Is Stranger Things Season 4 Vol. 1 worth watching? Without a doubt! However, before entering into the latest edition of the series, it’s important to watch Seasons 1 to 3 first to gain a better understanding of the show.

Now we can watch Stranger Things Season 4 Vol. 1 on Netflix. On July 1, 2022, Vol. 2 will be released.
