Releasing the official teaser for highly acclaimed FX sitcom Atlanta’s third season, which premieres March 24 put an end to the years-long wait of its fans.
Glover co-stars with Brian Tyree Henry, Lakeith Stanfield, and Zazie Beetz in the series. All four stars return for the upcoming batch of episodes, set in Europe. The film promises to stay intact all of the bold narrative mishaps that have become the hallmark of the series.
“Atlanta” premiered on FX in September 2016 and has rapidly established itself as one of the network’s signature comedic shows. The sitcom has earned Golden Globe nominations for best television series (musical or comedy) and best actor in a television series (musical or comedy), as well as Emmy nominations for lead actor in a comedy and directing a comedy series. Glover was also the first African-American to receive an Emmy Award for directing a comedy.

Additional storyline specifics are being withheld at the moment. Glover filmed the show’s third and fourth seasons concurrently, but the pandemic pushed back the third season’s release date in 2022. The series is one of many high-profile projects set to premiere on FX in 2022, including the crime drama “The Old Man” starring Jeff Bridges and the currently running last season of Pamela Adlon’s smash hit “Better Things.”
