Season 2 of The Owl House will premiere new episodes in March.
Dana Terrace, the series’ creator, revealed on Twitter that The Owl House would return to Disney Channel on Saturday, March 19 – the same day Matt Braly’s Amphibia returns with new episodes. The Owl House Season 2 has been on pause since August, with fans excitedly expecting its return.
On January 10, 2020, The Owl House premiered on Disney Channel. Season 1 lasted 19 episodes and will finish on August 29, 2020. Season 2 will then begin on June 12, 2021. The Owl House Season 2 will include 21 episodes in total, with the first ten broadcasting as “Season 2A” through August 14, 2021. We now know that Season 2B will be released in just over a month, according to Terrace’s tweet. Season 2 will be followed by the third and final season of The Owl House, which will comprise three 44-minute specials.
The Owl House features Luz Noceda (Sarah-Nicole Robles), an adolescent with a penchant for fantasy literature and a penchant for weirding out her peers. Luz’s mother Camila (Elizabeth Grullon) tries to send her to a camp to make her more “normal,” but Luz instead discovers a vortex that transfers her to the Boiling Isles, a mystical archipelago. Luz moves in with a strong witch named Eda Clawthorne (Wendie Malick) and her demon companion King upon her arrival (Alex Hirsch). Eda, King, and Luz dwell in the Owl House, which is defended by Hooty, the house demon (Hirsch).
Despite the fact that she is a human with no natural magical talents, Luz is assigned to become a witch. Before attending in Hexside School of Magic and Demonics, she is taught by Eda. Luz goes to Hexside with her mates Willow Park (Tati Gabrielle) and Gus Porter (Isaac Ryan Brown), as well as her competitor, turned girlfriend Amity Blight (Mae Whitman).
Following the climactic Season 1 ending, The Owl House Season 2A reunited Luz, who had been rendered unable to return to the human world. Camila ultimately discovers the truth about where her daughter has been all this time in the mid-season finale, “Yesterday’s Lie.” Back in the demon world, Luz and company must contend with the sinister schemes of Emperor Belos (Matthew Rhys) and his devoted foot soldier Hunter (Zeno Robinson), whose loyalty appears to be stirred.
The Owl House Season 2B airs on Disney Channel on March 19. Seasons 1 and 2A are now available on Disney+.
