Michael B. Jordan directs new co-star Jonathan Majors in early set photographs from Creed III.
The photos, which were shared on Twitter by Letterboxd, show a shirtless Jonathan Majors arriving on the Creed III set, and he’s definitely been working hard to get in fighting shape. In the planned third installment of the Rocky spin-off series, Majors will portray the adversary opposing Michael B. Jordan‘s Adonis Creed. Jordan makes his directorial debut in the picture, and he plays a crucial role both behind and in front of the camera.
Michael B. Jordan appears to be relaxing into his directing job as he meets with his co-star, Majors, who appears to have just finished his own real-life Rocky training montage in the new photographs. Despite the fact that no storyline specifics have been confirmed and little is known about Majors‘ character, he appears to be ready to fight with Creed. While Majors has always been in fantastic form in his past acting roles, it’s evident that he’s bulked up to take on Jordan’s boxing role.

Creed III will also be the first film in the franchise without Sylvester Stallone’s Rocky Balboa, allowing Michael B. Jordan‘s Creed to face his new foe without the assistance of his illustrious instructor.
Jonathan Majors isn’t the only adversary on the scene right now. Majors is set to return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in next year’s Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania as the character’s more malevolent variant, Kang the Conqueror, after starring as the sinister He Who Remains in last year’s Loki on Disney Plus as the sinister He Who Remains. Between takes on Creed III, Jordan, who played Killmonger in Black Panther, might be able to give him some suggestions.
Creed II stars Sylvester Stallone, Tessa Thompson, Michael B Jordan, Andre Ward, Phylicia Rashad, Wood Harris, Dolph Lundgren, and Buddy Marcelle and is directed by Steven Caple Jr. from a scenario written by Cheo Hodari Coker and Sylvester Stallone.
On DVD, Blu-Ray, and Digital HD, Creed II is available.
