The release date of the adaptation of the video game-turned movie franchise is set for July.
Netflix’s ‘Resident Evil‘ first full-length trailer has been dropped and it sees a significant rise in monster elements.
The clip is an extended version of what fans have seen in the earlier trailer about a story based on the long-running video game franchise that was adapted into a movie franchise. In addition to the legions of zombies seen in the above clip, there are also massive spiders, an enormous worm-like thing that emerges from the earth, and numerous more nightmare-inducing monsters.
‘Resident Evil’ series was acquired by Netflix in August 2020. This is the first live-action rendition of the long-running franchise, whose initial video game iteration was released in 1996. In addition, it’s also a source of inspiration for seven feature films and an animated Netflix series that debuted in July 2021.
Supernatural star Andrew Dabb is on board as showrunner for the series, which is slated to come out on July 14. Check the trailer out below.
