The next sci-fi epic from writer and director Zack Snyder already has a star-studded cast, and it just got bigger. Rupert Friend has been replaced in the cast of the Netflix picture with Ed Skrein. Cleopatra Coleman, Fra Fee, and Rhian Rees are also said to have joined the cast of the film.
It was stated in February that Friend would portray the film’s major villain, but it now appears that Skrein has taken his position owing to schedule issues. The character’s identity is unknown, although they are claimed to be in charge of the troops invading the colony.
The characters that Coleman, Fee, and Rees will play have yet to be revealed.

Skrein has appeared in movies such as Deadpool, Alita: Battle Angel, and If Beale Street Could Talk. Coleman most recently acted in the Hulu miniseries Dopesick and has also been in The Last Man on Earth and White Famous. Fee just appeared in the Marvel Disney+ series Hawkeye as one of the primary enemies. In addition, he has appeared in films such as Les Misérables, Boys from County Hell, and Cinderella. Rees is most recognized for her work in the 2018 horror film Halloween, and she will next appear in Jordan Peele‘s Nope and Damien Chazelle‘s Babylon.
They join Doona Bae, Michiel Huisman, Charlie Hunnam, Stuart Martin, Ray Fisher, Djimon Hounsou, Sofia Boutella, Cary Elwes, Corey Stoll, and Alfonso Herrera in a group already brimming with talent.
Snyder, whose prior credits include Zack Snyder’s Justice League, 300, and Man of Steel will direct Rebel Moon. He’ll also be producing the picture for The Stone Quarry alongside Deborah Snyder and Wesley Coller, with Eric Newman serving as a producer for Grand Electric. Sarah Bowen, Bergen Swanson, Johnstad, Hatten, and Ori Marmur serve as executive producers for the project.
There is no set date for the release of Rebel Moon.
