Prey‘s initial reviews have surfaced online, and they give the Predator prequel a very favorable impression.

The movie has received high praise from reviewers who believe it to be the finest Predator franchise installment overall. Prey, set in the Comanche country, occurs around 300 years before Predator. It features Naru, played by Amber Midthunder, battling a Predator as she seeks to establish her hunting prowess.
The suspenseful movie, which also features a more ape-like Predator, has obviously impressed its early viewers. See the initial reactions below:
Dan Trachtenberg, the filmmaker of Prey, has rightfully received praise for his inventive reworking of the Predator plot. The character of Naru has also gained popularity with viewers. She is the protagonist of this minimalist interpretation of Predator legend and spends a significant amount of time exploring the woods by herself.
It appears that Prey has already established itself as a smash hit with early audiences, as seen by the standing ovation it earned at its debut showing at San Diego Comic-Con last night.
Prey is directed by Dan Trachtenberg and features Amber Midthunder, Michelle Thrush, Stormee Kipp, Dakota Beavers, and Julian Black Antelope. The movie was written by Patrick Aison.
On August 5, 2022, Prey will begin streaming exclusively on Hulu.
