Turning Red’s lead is portrayed by the teenage actress Rosalie Chiang, who will be dubbing Mei Lee, a 13-year-old girl who “poofs” into a gigantic red panda when she becomes too enthusiastic. Mei Lee’s protective, Ming will be portrayed by Sandra Oh’s voices(Killing Eve). This character is considered as a little bossy mother, who seldom let her daughter stay away – an unpleasant reality for the girl.
Domee Shi, the director of the Oscar-winning Pixar short Bao, is in charge of the film’s direction this time. She is also credited for becoming the first woman to be responsible for directing a short film at the renowned animation studio. Shi is one of the most important mainstays of Pixar as she has had incredible works as a storyboard artist on many famous films namely Inside Out, Incredibles 2, and Toy Story 4.
Lindsey Collins (famous with Wall-E, Finding Dory) is the producer of Turning Red. It is now scheduled to hit cinemas on March 11, 2022.
