Physical, the rave-received dark comedy series from Apple TV+, is slated to release Season 2 in June. In addition, the streamer shared first-look images from the next season (see above and below).
The 10-episode second season, which stars and is executive produced by Rose Byrne, will launch on June 3 with the opening episode, followed by one new episode every Friday afterward.
Season two sees our heroine Sheila Rubin (Byrne) having successfully released her debut fitness video but coming up against some new and more difficult barriers. She gets caught up in the whirlpool between loyalty to her husband (Scovel) and the values he embodies and a deadly temptation with another. And now that she is no longer the only game in town, she must outrun some formidable new opponents on her way to establishing a full-blown fitness empire.
Murray Bartlett, who starred in The White Lotus, joins the Season 2 cast as Vincent ‘Vinnie’ Green, a charming fitness teacher, weight-loss guru, and pioneer of the late-night infomercial. Rory Scovel, Dierdre Friel, Della Saba, Lou Taylor Pucci, and Paul Sparks are also on board.
Tomorrow Studios (an ITV Studios partnership) is behind the production of Physical. Weisman also acts as the show’s executive producer. Stephanie Laing, in charge of the show’s direction, acts as executive producer, alongside Marty Adelstein and Becky Clements for Tomorrow Studios, John McNamara, Alexandra Cunningham, Craig Gillespie, Sera Gamble, and Byrne.
