Both Batman and Cyborg were deleted from the Season 1 conclusion of Peacemaker.
The climax included a surprise appearance by the Justice League of the DC Extended Universe, which included Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and The Flash. While Jason Momoa and Ezra Miller returned to reprise their roles as the League’s aquatic and speedy members, Henry Cavill and Gal Gadot did not appear as their respective heroes, while Batman and Cyborg were missing completely. Matt Turner has disclosed on Instagram that he stood in for Ben Affleck’s Batman on set, and that cameos by both the caped crusader and Cyborg with the League were removed from the conclusion.

The absence of Batman and Cyborg has already been addressed by showrunner James Gunn, who stated, “You know, I don’t know what I can — there are reasons behind that, but I’m honestly hesitant if I can reveal what those reasons are.” “It could have anything to do with future stuff,” he said. Gunn, on the other hand, never indicated that appearances for both DCEU characters were filmed.
Turner argues that only Gunn and Warner Bros. Entertainment know the “reasons” why Batman and Cyborg were eliminated. Both Affleck and Ray Fisher, who plays Cyborg, have concerns with the studio. Despite the fact that Affleck will reprise his role as Batman in the next film The Flash, he has described filming Justice League as the “worst experience,” adding, “It was awful. It was everything that I didn’t like about this. That became the moment where I said ‘I’m not doing this anymore.”
Fisher’s problems with Warner Bros. were made public in July 2020, when he made racist and sexual misconduct charges against Justice League director Joss Whedon, Geoff Johns, and others. Fisher presented his side of the tale in an interview in April 2021, following the end of an inquiry into wrongdoing on the set of the film. Whedon has just lately broken his silence on Fisher’s charges, insisting they are baseless and even labeling Fisher a “poor actor.”
The series has already been renewed for a second season on HBO Max before viewers got the chance to see the Justice League in Peacemaker, which we now know might have featured Batman and Cyborg. “It’s Cow or Never,” the last episode featuring the appearance, has also become the most-watched episode on HBO Max to date.
Peacemaker‘s whole first season is now available to view in its entirety on HBO Max.
