Paramount and eOne today announced that the forthcoming Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley’s Dungeons & Dragons film will be titled Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves.
Dungeons & Dragons is a fantasy tabletop role-playing game designed by Gary Gygax and Dave Arneson. It made its debut in 1974 by Tactical Studies Rules, Inc. and has been marketed since 1997 by Hasbro subsidiary Wizards of the Coast. The premise of the picture, which stars Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, Regé-Jean Page, Justice Smith, Sophia Lillis, Chloe Coleman, Daisy Head, and Hugh Grant, has remained a mystery.
The script was created by Goldstein, Daley and Michael Michael Gilio from a tale by Chris McKay and Gilio, which was based on Hasbro’s game. The film is produced by Brian Goldner, Jeremy Latcham, and Nick Meyer, with Zev Foreman, Denis L. Stewart, Daley, Goldstein, Pine, and Greg Mooradian serving as executive producers. It is slated to come out on March 3, 2023.
The release weekend for Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves is now open. A television version of the iconic role-playing game is also in the works at eOne, helmed by Red Notice director Rawson Marshall Thurber.
