Wizards!, a new picture from Australian writer-director David Michôd that reunites A24 and Plan B Entertainment, has added Orlando Bloom to the cast, joining Pete Davidson, Franz Rogowski, Naomi Scott, and Sean Harris. The script was written by Michôd and is based on a narrative by Joel Edgerton and Michôd. Liz Watts will produce alongside Dede Gardner and Jeremy Kleiner of Plan B.

The movie depicts two foolish pothead beach-bar owners (Davidson and Rogowski) who get themselves into problems when they come upon stolen property that they should have left alone.
Following award-winning films like Moonlight, Minari, and The Last Black Man in San Francisco, this is A24 and Plan B’s fourth collaboration. After War Machine and The King, this is Plan B’s third collaboration with Michôd. It will also reunite Michôd and Watts with A24 for the first time since The Rover in 2014. Watts has just joined See-Saw Films as a producer for the project.
Bloom has gained critical recognition for his roles in the indie films Retaliation and Rod Lurie’s The Outpost, which was named one of the 10 Best Independent Films of 2020 by the National Board of Review. Bloom will next be seen in season 2 of Amazon’s Carnival Row, which he also executive produces, and in Ian and Eshom Nelms’ Red Right Hand, with Andie MacDowell, which is now in production.
Felker Toczek Suddleson Abramson LLP and WME are Bloom‘s management companies.
