Hulu has just released the first trailer for Season 2 of Only Murders in the Building today. Three strangers (Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez) share an apartment complex and get hooked with true-crime podcasts. Following a suspicious death in their own flat, the three decide to team up on an investigation and launch their own podcast to chronicle the case.
When it launched on Hulu on August 31, 2021, the show, which received rave reviews from critics, was an instant hit with nominations for many awards. In fact, the primary trio has become such a cultural phenomenon that they were even considered hosts for the 94th Academy Awards ceremony. The series got revived for a second season in September 2021, with season 1 wrapping up on a dramatic cliffhanger with the main protagonists being jailed.
Hulu has dropped a trailer for the second season of Only Murders in the Building. The teaser depicts the trio recording a new podcast for their fans, picking up where season 1 left off, in which they were falsely accused of murder at the building. While the teaser is short, it contains the same witty banter between the leading characters plus a preview of Amy Schumer and Cara Delevingne‘s new season 2 roles. Check out the trailer below:
