
Cheer up, One Piece fans! The newest installment in the franchise, One Piece Film: Red, will get a big-screen release in the United States by Crunchyroll. Additionally, Crunchyroll will be in charge of the distribution of dubbed and subtitled versions in Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. The specific release date has been kept under wraps, however, the release window is set for the autumn of 2022. At Anime Expo on July 2 in Los Angeles, further information will be disclosed.

Shanks, the captain of the Red Hair Pirates and one of the Four Emperors, will be the centerpiece of One Piece’s upcoming film. Shanks plays a significant role in the series’ backstory, having motivated protagonist Monkey D. Luffy to become a pirate and handed him the straw hat he currently wears.
Goro Taniguchi (Code Geass) helmed One Piece Film: Red from a screenplay penned by Kuroiwa Tsutomu. Eiichiro Oda, author of the manga, will act as producer and general supervisor.
