The first teaser for the long-awaited film The Lost City, originally known as The Lost City of D, has been published by Paramount Pictures. The new trailer makes no effort to hide the tremendous chemistry between stars Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum, and also Daniel Radcliffe as the film’s villain. The film will be released exclusively in theaters on March 25, 2022.
The trailer not only presents Bullock as an introverted but hugely successful romance author, Tatum as “the world’s sexiest cover model,” and Radcliffe as an eccentric millionaire on the hunt for the titular lost city and its treasures, but it also emphasizes Brad Pitt’s comedy powers.
The trailer not only unveils Bullock as an introverted but also a novelist succeeding in the romance genre. It also portrays Tatum as “the world’s sexiest cover model,” while Radcliffe is an unorthodox billionaire chasing for the supposed lost city and its treasures. Besides, the trailer shows off Brad Pitt’s comedic sense as he makes a minor character an unforgettable cameo.
There will undoubtedly be similar details compared to Romancing the Stone (for example, the convention Bullock and Tatum attend is called “Romancing the Page,” for beginners). However, this forthcoming film is expected to bring an amazing adventure in which Tatum is barely the model he try to make up only for his novel covers.
Aside from Bullock, Tatum, Radcliffe, and Pitt, the movie also stars Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Oscar Nuez, Patti Harrison, and Bowen Yang. The film was co-directed by Adam Nee and Aaron Nee, who also developed the script with Oren Uziel and Dana Fox, inspired by a tale of Seth Gordon. Bullock and Gordon, along with Liza Chasin, are credited with producing the film. While Fox serves as executive producer alongside JJ Hook, Julia Gunn, and Margaret Chernin.
The Lost City will be released officially in theaters on March 25, 2022. Let’s take a look at the trailer below, which includes a funny opening from the actors, as well as the movie’s new poster right here:
The official summary for The Lost City is as follows:
Loretta Sage (Sandra Bullock), a brilliant but reclusive writer, has spent most of her life writing about exotic destinations in her famous romantic and adventurous novels, starring an attractive cover model Alan (Channing Tatum), who has committed his life to emulate the hero model, "Dash." Loretta is abducted while on tour advertising her new novel with Alan by an abnormal millionaire (Daniel Radcliffe) who believes she can guide him to the old lost city where the treasure is hidden, from her current book. Alan determines to save her, with the desire to prove that he can be a hero in reality, not just in imagining stories of novels. Thrown into an adventurous rainforest journey, the odd couple must team up to endure the environmental conditions and recover the legendary treasure before it is lost forever.
