Yankovic is the best-selling comedic recording artist of all time, renowned for pastiching and parodying the works of his musical contemporaries. The biography promises to reveal everything about his life, from his humble beginnings to his spectacular ascent to stardom with early successes like “Eat It” and “Like a Surgeon,” while also touching on his torrid celebrity love relationships and notoriously depraved lifestyle.
Yankovic and Eric Appel wrote the screenplay, with the latter Funny or Die alum helming, after directing the production company’s 2010 short self-titled film.
Yankovic is also co-producing with Mike Farah, Whitney Hodack, and Joe Farrell for Funny Or Die, as well as with Lia Buman, Tim Headington, and Max Silva for Tango. Appel is on board as executive producer with Henry Muoz III of Funny Or Die and Neil Shah of Tango.
