Obi-Wan Kenobi‘s new trailer was released Wednesday, just in time for Star Wars Day.
The fresh peek at the Disney+ series, called the “official trailer,” is 90 seconds long – and it contains a lot to unwrap.
The trailer indicates that the six-part Star Wars series would follow Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi (Ewan McGregor) as he flees Darth Vader (Hayden Christensen) and the Empire while keeping a watch on a young Luke Skywalker.
There is a scene in which Obi-Wan emphasizes to Owen Lars (Joel Edgerton) the importance of Luke’s training, which Owen quickly rejects, as he did in the first film, A New Hope.
At the conclusion, there is a Darth Vader tease, which shows the notorious villain gearing up to chase Obi-Wan. And it’s very obvious they’re going to fight one more time.
The Disney+ series Obi-Wan Kenobi arrives on May 27.
