Later this summer, a chess game based on ‘Queen’s Gambit‘ will be released, and next year, a single-player action game based on ‘La Casa de Papel‘ (Money Heist) will be released.
Netflix is developing a wave of new mobile games based on popular original series including La Casa de Papel (Money Heist) and The Queen’s Gambit.
The business plans to release nine more games later this year, including a Queen’s Gambit chess and puzzle game this summer. The Queen’s Gambit Chess is a single- and multi-player chess game including chess lessons, matches, puzzles, and rivalry with other players, released by Ripstone Ltd. in the United Kingdom.
A family-oriented puzzle game based on Netflix’s baking competition show Nailed It! will also be released by Paladin Studios.
The streamer plans to produce four more games next year, including one based on the famous show La Casa de Papel. Kilasoft’s single-player game will take players to Monaco as the team prepares to pillage a billionaire’s casino. Developer Nanobit and publisher Stillfront Group are working on a romance simulation game based on Too Hot to Handle, while Chimera Entertainment’s role-playing game will immerse players in the world of Netflix’s Shadow and Bone.
