On June 8, the first episode of the highly-anticipated MCU series Ms. Marvel, which introduces Kamala Khan to the screen, will finally come out. Positive first responses have bubbled fans with excitement for the series. Now, less than twenty-four hours away from the series’ release, the reviews are finally out, and they are overwhelmingly positive.
Now that the embargo has been removed, a number of reviewers and journalists have posted their online reviews for Ms. Marvel, and the responses have been mostly favorable, with just a few mixed or negative reviews (which will always be there in every art that gets released).
Ms. Marvel currently has a Rotten Tomatoes score of 95% based on 45 reviews, with just two of those reviews being scored as “rotten” or “negative.” Most reviews are applauding Iman Vellani’s performance, its charm and color, the story’s cultural portrayal, and its unique contribution to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). However, they are only based on the first two episodes, which they were permitted to view in advance of the show’s premiere.
