Since the series chose to give Ms. Marvel a new power—one that differs from the one where she could shapeshift—the character’s abilities have generated controversy. Despite her new abilities, may Kamala still change in size in the show?
Due to the fact that Kamala is a shapeshifter in the comics but can create what she refers to as “hard light” on the Disney Plus program, the Ms. Marvel series gave her a new set of abilities, which raised many issues and debates.

Despite the fact that Kamala Khan’s abilities and origins differ from those in the comics, the program did not fail to reference the actual source material. Using the hard light emanating from her body, Ms. Marvel can create an illusion, like the large hands she used to hit the enemies in the first few episodes.
The shape-shifting abilities of Kamala Khan in the comic books were referenced by Ms. Marvel at the conclusion. When Kamala had had enough of the battle with the Department of Damage Control, she said the phrase “embiggen,” which caused her to swell up.
Kamala’s strong light gave her the extra height and bulk she needed to become bigger and confront the agents. After Kamran unintentionally sent a patrol car flying, she even managed to catch it in midair to save the onlookers, including her family.
Kamala hasn’t shrunk in the Ms. Marvel series yet; rather, she has simply grown. Although it is still unclear if Kamala’s harsh light can make her smaller, the finale’s demonstration of how she can “embiggen” is a wonderful nod to her comic book roots.
Now that Ms. Marvel has six episodes, you can watch them all on Disney Plus.
