In just a few weeks, Morbius will be released in theaters, and Sony is hard at work promoting the Jared Leto film. The studio published a dramatic trailer on Monday, in which the film’s protagonists debate whether Michael Morbius’ (Leto) new abilities are a curse or a solution for his blood disease.

Morbius and Matthew Smith‘s Loxias Crown, childhood friends suffering from the same disorder, have the main dialogue. Check out the new teaser below.

Despite the fact that the picture is situated outside of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it will attempt to establish its own identity inside Sony’s Marvel Character Universe. As seen in the trailers for the film, Tom Hardy‘s Venom is addressed, while Michael Keaton reprises his role as Adrian Toomes, who last appeared in the MCU’s Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Morbius will reach theatres on April 1st.
