In new behind-the-scenes photos, Jared Leto is shown to be getting ready to shoot the next Marvel flick Morbius. Morbius will be the third film in Sony’s Spider-Man Universe, after Venom and its follow-up, Venom: Let There Be Carnage. The Spider-Man Universe centers on Marvel Comics characters related to Spider-Man. Morbius is helmed by Daniel Espinosa, who also directed Safe House. It stars Leto as the main character. The film is being developed by Columbia Pictures in collaboration with Marvel and will be released on April 4, 2022.
On the heel of the release of the final Morbius teaser, Sony has dropped a new series of pictures to tout for the film. Morbius‘ actors and director were shown in preparation for filming in four behind-the-scenes images included in the new image set. Take a look at the full photos below:
Morbius‘ production has suffered several obstacles since the film’s announcement in 2018. As has been the case with a number of recent releases, the cast and crew of Morbius were forced to suspend production owing to the Covid-19 outbreak, and the film’s release date was delayed numerous times to accommodate the pandemic. It’s really good news for those who have been waiting with bated breath for Morbius‘ release on the big screen since a Morbius cameo was initially announced for Blade in 1998, these new BTS images provide more assurance that Morbius is finally arriving.
