The first trailer for Berlin, the forthcoming Money Heist spin-off that revolves around the titular con man played by Pedro Alonso, has been released by Netflix. Less than two years after the original series’ three-season run came to an end, the spinoff is set to air in 2023.
The five primary cast members that will be joining Alonso are introduced in the video. This features Tristán Ulloa from Faria as Berlin’s confidant Damián, Michelle Jenner from Welcome to Eden as electronics expert Keila, Begoa Vargas from Through My Window as Cameron, and Joel Sanchez from Bruce.
Esther Martnez Lobato and Lex Pina, the authors of Money Heist, have created the eight-episode heist drama Berlin. Lobato, Pina, David Olivia, and David Berrocal, who will also work as a director alongside Geoffrey Cowper, wrote the series. Paris is presently in the midst of production.
The opening episode of Money Heist introduced the Berlin of Pedro Alonso. When the first season ended, the character initially passed away. Alonso, however, was allowed to resume the character in the last seasons, when he appeared in flashback scenes, owing to the positive response from the audience.
Lex Pina is the author of Money Heist. Jaime Lorente, Esther Acebo, Darko Peri, and Paco Tous appeared in the main series. Other cast members include Llvaro Morte, Ursula Corberó, Itziar Ituo, Pedro Alonso, and Miguel Herrán.
