You’ve already seen the classic red jumpsuit and mask; now prepare for your first glimpse at Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area’s most important character: Professor. Yoo Ji-Tae takes up the role played by Alvaro Morte in the original Spanish series for the new thriller.

Money Heist: Korea — Joint Economic Area is based on the Spanish hit La Casa De Papel, which tells the story of a group of strangers who join forces to steal money from the Spanish mint. They all wear the same uniform — a red jumpsuit with a Salvador Dal mask — and only know each other by their city-themed code names, which are carried over into the Korean adaptation.
The new series is set in the future when North and South Korea are on the verge of reuniting peacefully. The enigmatic Professor assembles a crew of professional thieves from both the North and South to steal the new cash direct from the mint as they prepare to produce a new united currency.
Yoo Ji Tae – Professor, of course, possesses all of the essential characteristics of the character who is the mastermind of the scheme. Glasses? Check. A smoldering look? Check. Do you have a thorough understanding of every conceivable result during the heist? We’re guessing it’s a check, but we’ll have to wait until June 24 to find out for sure.
