The first trailer for Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One has been released. And the trailer is nothing short of incredible.
The first look at the highly anticipated edition in the billion-dollar action-adventure franchise is jam-packed with explosive action and jaw-dropping stunts, in classic Tom Cruise flair.
After an alleged leak over the weekend, the official Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One trailer was released. Copyright takedowns were sent to Twitter users who spread the material. Last month, the first trailer for the Paramount feature was shown at CinemaCon.
Cruise reprises his role as Ethan Hunt, an IMF agent and operational leader, which he first played in the 1996 film adaptation of the hit television series. Dead Reckoning Part One is the eighth installment in the series.
It is remarkable since Dead Reckoning Part One is the first sequel to feature Eugene Kittridge, the director of the IMF in the 1996 film. In that movie, the character had one of the franchise’s most memorable sequences with Hunt, the “Kittridge, you’ve never seen me very upset” conversation. Henry Czerny reprises his role as Kittridge in the new trailer, and he gets a lot of screen time.
The latest installment in the enormously successful franchise, directed by Christopher McQuarrie, will hit theaters on July 14, 2023, after being delayed numerous times due to the pandemic. The next installment in the series will be launched on June 28, 2024.
