Crazy fans are buzzing with rumors that Magneto appeared in a deleted scene from Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
Some fans were disappointed by the lack of cameos in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, but the film did feature an Illuminati team consisting of Captain Carter (Hayley Atwell), Karl Mordo (Chiwetel Ejiofor), Black Bolt (Anson Mount), Captain Marvel (Lashana Lynch), Professor X (Patrick Stewart), and Reed Richards (John Krasinski). Charlize Theron makes her MCU debut as Clea in the film’s mid-credits sequence. However, it has emerged that Magneto, played by Michael Fassbender, may have been in the picture.

This rumor stems from The Weekly Planet podcast’s James Clement, who said that Michael Fassbender taped a sequence as Magneto for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, but the scene was eventually omitted from the movie. Magneto was only one of many characters considered for the Illuminati, with Balder the Brave and Ghost Rider also being mentioned by Clement, and Deadpool appearing in an after-credits sequence.
Given that Magneto is Scarlet Witch‘s father in the comics, Fassbender‘s presence as Magneto in the Doctor Strange sequel would have introduced a new dimension to her narrative. The film Dark Phoenix, which came out in 2019, was Fassbender’s most recent appearance as Magneto.
