Thanks to the thrilling Stranger Things Season 4 moment where their song Master of Puppets is featured in the battle against the Demobats, Metallica is earning new fans. Unsurprisingly, the heavy metal band chose to honor Eddie Munson in a breathtaking duet video on TikTok as thanks for the Netflix series!
The band members wearing Hellfire Club t-shirts in the recording studio are shown in the video, which was first shared on Metallica’s TikTok account. To the joy of brand-new Twitter followers, it didn’t take long for the official Netflix account to decide to post it as well.
It’s fantastic to see Metallica embracing the Stranger Things excitement, and we adore how the band members are embracing new fans. With that in mind, it appears that after learning about the band’s early works, more people will begin to listen to them.
Gatekeeping is not permitted when it comes to Metallica, according to the band. On a TikTok video, older fans attacked newer fans, and Metallica responded by criticizing the undesirable behavior (via Metal Hammer).
Although Metallica were not personally engaged in Eddie Munson’s guitar scene in Stranger Things Season 4, there was a significant familial tie to the band. It has been reported that bassist Rob Trujillo’s son Tye Trujillo recorded the guitar recordings for the sequence.
Netflix now offers streaming access to Stranger Things Season 4’s nine episodes. The fifth season is expected to air in 2024.
