The Falcon and the Winter Soldier’s new Falcon has a talk about what is in store in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The series was the second installment in a series of original live-action shows that would be aired exclusively on Disney+ throughout 2021, following the highly acclaimed WandaVision series. In it, Sebastian Stan’s Winter Soldier and Anthony Mackie’s Falcon traversed the post-Blip radicalism of the world and uncovered the existence of a new super-soldier serum. The series came to a close with a major shakeup for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as Falcon assumed the mantle and shield of Captain America.

A remarkable new character in the series was Joaqun Torres, who was performed by Danny Ramirez. He is a first lieutenant in the United States Air Force, and he was sent to support Falcon on his mission in the series’ premiere installment. Together, they built a strong connection through the series, and after accepting his new identity as Captain America, Falcon let Torres keep his old Falcon wings, hinting that Torres would reprise his role as the new Falcon in Captain America 4, whose production is underway.

On February 25, Screen Rant had the opportunity to share with Danny Ramirez about his forthcoming film No Exit, which will be released in cinemas on February 25. During the course of the conversation, he was asked about his perspective future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Obviously unable to disclose anything, he responded as any well-trained Marvel actor would “obviously I can’t say anything.” As for the rest of his comments on him, he said, “I’m really excited with who he is as a person and how [he] carries himself,” hinting that his time with the MCU isn’t finished just yet. The following is the complete statement:

Well, I obviously can’t say anything but I’m just genuinely excited in the direction that all of Hollywood is going in the amount of representation on screen for Latino/Latinx characters and, with Joaquin, I’m really excited with who he is as a person and how he carries himself and that’s all I’m gonna say, because I can’t! You know I can’t!

At the moment, the appearance of Captain America 4 is still under wraps, as the film is still in its early stages of pre-production. The film was announced in April 2021 and is expected to start off its production process this year. While it has been confirmed that Anthony Mackie would play Captain America, the narrative and the other people around him remain kept in dark.

Torres’ exclusion from the upcoming picture, on the other hand, would be a major wasted opportunity. Danny Ramirez’s performance in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier has set him up for a significant part in the MCU’s future, and Danny Ramirez has already demonstrated his ability to create engaging on-screen chemistry with his co-star. Given the film’s imminent production start, further information may be forthcoming, but given Marvel’s notoriously tight-lipped nature when projects are this early in the process, it takes time for fans to be unraveled answers.
