This summer, Marvel Studios will head back to San Diego Comic-Con for the first time in three years. The announcement was made this afternoon by studio president Kevin Feige at a virtual press conference for the highly-anticipated forthcoming film Thor: Love and Thunder, directed by Taika Waiti.

After choosing not to participate in the Comic-Con@Home events that were held remotely in July 2020 and 2021, as well as the scaled-down November confab held the previous year, the last time Marvel made its visit to the San Diego Convention Center is in July 2019.
The projects Marvel promoting at Comic-Con 2022 are still kept under wraps. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (November 11), Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantum Mania (February 17, 2023), Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (May 5, 2023), The Marvels (July 28, 2023), and Blade, starring Mahershala Ali, are among its forthcoming feature releases. The animated I Am Groot (10 August), She-Hulk: Attorney at Law (17 August), The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, Echo, Secret Invasion, Agatha: House of Darkness, Armor Wars, Ironheart, and X-Men ’97 are upcoming TV projects.
This year’s Comic-Con will be held in San Diego from July 21 to 24. In the meanwhile, Thor: Love and Thunder is due to come out on July 8th.
