James Gunn‘s return as writer and director of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is one aspect that has been confirmed. Following the box office success of the first two Guardians of the Galaxy movies, Gunn was first tapped to helm the picture, but he was briefly removed from the project after some contentious tweets from his earlier career reappeared.
