Michael Waldron will continue to work at Marvel Studios!
Michael Waldron, who has written for two previous Marvel Studios movies, has been hired as the writer for Avengers: Secret Wars.

Avengers: The Kang Dynasty‘s script was written by Rick and Morty writer Jeff Loveness, who was recruited by Marvel Studios earlier this year. It has also announced that Michael Waldron, another veteran of Rick and Morty, has been hired to pen the script for Marvel Studios’ The Kang Dynasty sequel, Secret Wars.
When Michael Waldron was hired as the chief writer of the Disney Plus series Loki in 2019, he formally became a member of the Marvel Studios family. Waldron created the script for Sam Raimi’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which made $955.8 million at the global picture office, after Loki’s critical and financial triumph.
One of the most significant Marvel Studios projects revealed at San Diego Comic-Con in July 2022 was Avengers: Secret Wars. The Kang Dynasty and this project will arrive in theaters in 2025, but they will have separate creative teams who will collaborate on both films. The Kang Dynasty has Daniel Cretton in charge of the direction, but Secret Wars is still without a director.
Winston Duke, Florence Kasumba, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, and Letitia Wright all appear in Ryan Coogler’s movie, which he also co-wrote with Joe Robert Cole. Martin Freeman, Tenoch Huerta, Dominique Thorne, Michaela Coel, and Angela Bassett are additional cast members.
The release date for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is presently set for November 11, 2022.
