As Maestro‘s production is now underway, the first official behind-the-scenes images from the set of the upcoming Netflix biographical drama about Leonard Bernstein have been unveiled.
The first glimpse at Oscar-nominated Bradley Cooper and Carey Mulligan as Leonard Bernstein and Felicia Montealegre, respectively, has been revealed in the Maestro pictures, which you can see below. Additionally, two of the photographs depict Cooper as an older version of the renowned conductor.





In Maestro, Bernstein and his wife, Felicia Montealegre‘s marriage will be told as a magnificently intricate romance lasting over 30 years. Along with Cooper, the film also stars Carey Mulligan as Felicia Montealegre and Jeremy Strong as John Gruen.
The “charged and complex relationship” between Bernstein and Montealegre has always been Cooper’s center point with regard to the project. Over the course of the previous number of years, the star and director allegedly maintained a close connection with Bernstein’s children Jamie, Alexander, and Nina.
Cooper and Josh Singer co-wrote Maestro, which will be produced by Steven Spielberg, Martin Scorsese, Kristie Macosko Krieger, Cooper, and his Joint Effort producing partner Todd Phillips, Oscar-nominated producer Emma Tillinger Koskoff, and Fred Berner and Amy Durning.
