Apple Original Films and Skydance Animation have released the first teaser trailer for Luck, which is Skydance Animation’s first feature film.
Luck is set to come out internationally on Apple TV+ on Friday, August 5. It was one of two Skydance Animation films, along with Spellbound, that Apple acquired from its original distributor, Paramount.
Sam Greenfield (Eva Noblezada’s voice), the unluckiest person in the world, is the protagonist of the Peggy Holmes-directed film. After finding a place called the Land of Luck that had never been seen before, Sam realizes that the only way to reverse her luck is to team up with the mystical creatures.
In the teaser, Bob (Simon Pegg), a black cat born under a lucky star, takes us on an intriguing tour of the Land of Luck. Alongside Whoopi Goldberg and Jane Fonda, the cast also includes Flula Borg, Colin O’Donoghue, Lil Rel Howery, John Ratzenberger, and Adelynn Spoon.
The original script was written by Kiel Murray. John Lasseter, Dana Goldberg, David Ellison, and David Eisenmann are Skydance Animation’s producers.
