
Cheer up, Love, Death & Robots fans! Netflix has released a surprise Season 3 episode before the May 20 launch of the Emmy-winning animated anthology series. You may see the whole episode titled “Three Robots: Exit Strategies” at the end of the article.
In the episode, which is inspired by a short novella by science fiction author John Scalzi, the trio of humorous droids heads back to go on a whirlwind trip to investigate post-apocalyptic human survival tactics before humanity is extinguished for good.
Love, Death & Robots, developed by Tim Miller (Deadpool), has five- to fifteen-minute episodes made by various animation teams from across the globe. The series encompasses a broad variety of genres, including science-fiction, fantasy, horror, and humor, with tales delivered in animation methods ranging from standard 2D to photorealistic 3D CGI. New episodes in Volume 3 vary from the discovery of an ancient evil to a humorous end of the world.
David Fincher serves as executive producer with Miller (Mindhunter).
It has brought home 11 Primetime Emmy Awards, including Individual Achievement in Animation and Outstanding Animated Short Form Program, among others.
