The latest edition of Love, Death + Robots, including nine riveting new stories from the Emmy-winning animated anthology series, is almost here. Volume 3 will, as previously announced, transport viewers to horrifying and gorgeous new settings while also bringing back some famous locales and people – not to mention millions of mini-zombies.

The latest chapter also marks an exciting first for producer David Fincher, who will be directing animation for the first time. Each episode, like with the previous volumes, will tell its own tale, blending together fantasy, horror, and science fiction to take audiences to far-reaching cosmos or hilarious dystopian settings.

In a new clip, we see the creepy and enchanting locations that await us, as well as the sinister names of each episode. From warring rats to monstrous monsters (and even a cat astronaut or two), it’s evident that these nine episodes will be an existential roller coaster… with a side of twisted humor, of course. “They were nasty to robots… and then robots murdered them,” K-VRC says at the end of the trailer with a raucous chuckle.

On May 20, Love, Death, + Robots Volume 3 will be released. The most recent trailer is included below.
