Lance Reddick has agreed to play the lead role in Ballerina, a new movie based in the world of John Wick.

Reddick will return to the role of Charon, the Continental’s concierge who is popular among fans. The Continental has its own set of laws and harsh penalties for breaching them. The film, which will star Ana de Armas and be directed by Len Wiseman, is already in production.
The story was written by Shay Hatten, and it centers on a young woman (Ana de Armas) who possesses killer talents and utilizes those skills to get retribution when hitmen murder her family. Reddick is joined on the call sheet for John Wick by Angelica Huston and Ian McShane.
Chad Stahelski, Basil Iwanyk, and Erica Lee are all given producer credit. The project is under the direction of Brady Fujikawa and Chelsea Kujawa for Lionsgate.
A part of the animated Netflix series Farzar was voiced by Lance Reddick as well. Future projects for Reddick include White Men Can’t Jump and the Shirley Chisholm biopic Shirley, in which she will co-star with Regina King and be directed by John Ridley.
