‘Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi’ will have Liam Neeson reprising his role as Qui-Gon Jinn.
Without a shadow of a doubt, 2022 will mark the biggest year that Star Wars has ever had on television. The iconic franchise already released The Book of Boba Fett earlier this year, and it continues to leave its stamps with new episodes of Obi-Wan Kenobi on Disney Plus over the next few weeks. Additionally, the first episode of the upcoming Rogue One prequel series Andor is set to air in August of this year. Now, we have received information on a new animated anthology series called Tales of the Jedi, which will be set during the time period covered by the Prequel Trilogy and will include some familiar faces, one of whom is Qui-Gon Jinn (Liam Neeson).
In Tales of the Jedi, Liam Neeson, whose sole appearance in the live-action Skywalker Saga films was in Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, will resume his role as Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn. The animated anthology series, which was unveiled at Celebration Anaheim, will include six animated shorts, the first three of which would revolve around Ahsoka Tano (Ashley Eckstein) and the remaining three around a youthful Count Dooku.
This announcement about Qui-Gon Jinn’s returning to Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi marks the first time the actor will reprise his vocal role. In 2019, he made a voice appearance in The Rise of Skywalker, and he also voiced the character in two Season 3 episodes and one Season 6 episode of The Clone Wars.
